The Bracelet Vase is covered in a crater-like glaze created through a lengthy process of material experimentation. During firing at 1230°C, chemical reactions within the glaze release gases that form a porous landscape of cavities and openings. The process remains difficult to fully control, causing the glaze to react differently with every firing.
Fired at high temperatures, the ceramic body is fully vitrified and waterproof.
Handmade in Berlin, each piece is individually formed and glazed, resulting in unique variations in surface and character.
